The son of a Baptist minister, Brian Goudie learned the Golden Rule early in life. Yet that simple lesson has lasted a lifetime and impacted many lives through Brian's work as a funeral director for Downing & Lahey Mortuary.

Brian believes in treating others the way he would want to be treated. So he takes special care in dealing with families experiencing a loss, listening carefully as they explain their wishes and working diligently to see that they are fulfilled. Because each family is unique, Brian knows there are no "one-fits-all" solutions, so he goes the extra mile to arrange a service that will offer true comfort to family and friends.

Having worked in the funeral business since 1984, Brian feels he's found a home at Downing & Lahey. The mortuary's reputation for quality service and attention to detail are a great source of pride, and Brian says he's fortunate to share his talents and experience with such a professional staff.

Outside of the office, Brian is a member of the Rotary Club of West Wichita. He also spends time with his four children, parents and a sister, all of whom live in the Wichita area.
