Webb, Linda Jeane (Myer)Webb, Linda Jeane (Myer), 59, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009. Visitation with the family Saturday, September 19 from noon to 1 PM followed by a memorial service at 1 PM, both at Downing & Lahey East Chapel. Linda was born March 17, 1950 to Deane J. and Evelyn Myer. She grew up in Wichita and graduated from Wichita Southeast, class of 1968. Linda graduated from Kansas State University where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Linda loved music and theater and was one of the original “Crown Players” theater group, which later performed at the Crown Uptown Theater. She always had a smile on her face and love in her heart. She loved her family and friends and she will be missed. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Larry Myer, and her husband Jeff Webb. Survivors: aunts, Betsy Myer of Wichita, and Wanda Barnes of Topeka; seven cousins. A memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219.

I was saddened to read of Linda's death. I had visited with her at Evelyn's funeral and earlier at Deane's. I lived next door to the Myer family on North Old Manor. I recall Evelyn and Deane bringing Linda home from the hospital. I have numerous photos of her and Larry on the first day of school etc. My sister and Linda were 'best friends' in elementary school. Of course I also remember the Taylors who lived on Old Manor as well, in the next block south. So the connection is long. I feel as though I have lost a part of my past, even those I had not seen Linda most of the past thirty years. Her death reminds me of how quickly life passes and how dear it is.
